S.I. Reunion

Hi all welcome to my bloggie for my part in the Smeared Ink Reunion bloghop, you can find the blogroll at the bottom of this post.

I love making scenes using rubberstamps and for this card I used 2 Smeared Ink sets (Haunting places 1  and 2 by Rick St.dennis) and mixed them with 2 stamps from Sin city sets (the skull and bones are from the Dribones set by Rick St.dennis, now for a special prize of 14.95 USD for limited time,  the Moon is from the Sunshine Cherub set) and the bats from de Stempelwinkel.

I wish the moon was a little more creepy but I still like how it turned out, what do you think?

Isn't it great to see how well all those different stamps work together.
The background is distress ink and the stamps are colored using Faber Castell polychromos pencils
Here a closer look, this did not take much masking, so it was pretty easy to do, maybe I should do a video on how I make these scenes.
The embossed edges on the card got some Deco Art metallic lustre in burnished brass to get some shine. I jut like the effect the metallic lusstres have.

For the ones that have not been around my bloggie for a while, check out my right sidebar, you will find a link to the stamp set I designed for Sin City and a link to my You Tube channel (would very much appreciate if you subscribed there )

Have fun hopping and hope to see you again on my blog

I have used the Tim Holz die to cut the tag and painted it Colonial Green, next used the Brick stamp from the Art Jounaling stamp set to create a background. The cat was stamped on printer paper and colored using pencils, cut out and decoupaged onto the tag, The sentiment is stamped using Moon Yellow Americana paint

BTW Sin City now has a stamp set designed by me :-) it's called Yikes Wild flower and here are some samples I made

I know, shameless selfpromotion...but hey this is just sooo exciting

cats

I got my hands on the stamp sets designed by Rick St.dennis available at Sin City stamps, and I thought to have a play with the Cats set see the set below

Since we have 3 cats, they demanded I got the set, and you better listen to what you cats tells you to do, or you get the death stare or worse.....

I made a little fun tag, hope you like it

Products used:  Sin City stamp set Cats
Deco Art Americana acrylics in Lilac and Lavender and Gesso and Matte Medium
Deco Art stencil designed by Andy Skinner Halftone
And Stampendous stamp by Andy Skinner; Toxic

Fist I gessoed the tag and painted it Lavender, next used the stencil to make the dots.
Stamped the stamp on paper using Archival ink andcoloured it  using pencils, next cut it out.
(stamp it on the tag to get the whiskers on there so you don;t have to cut those out)

Use the Toxic stamp with archival blue ink on the tag (the scratches looked like there had been a cat fight in my mind)

adhere the image to the tag using matte medium.

next stamp the sentiment using alphabet stamps, and to finish add a ribbon to the tag and a little bow to the duck's neck.

I will enter the following challenges
