HDH challenge Ferocious Furballs

Hi all, back in the Dungeon again, have to get used to the dark, cold and damp again after my time in sunny California.  Time for some more inspiration for the Ferocious Furballs challenge.

I bought an awesome leatherbound journal and started working in it, :-)

Not a very scary page, promise it will get better when I am my old dark self again, hope you  enjoy it anyway.

It's a bit hard to take a picture, cuz the journal doesn't want to stay open, this was the best I could do. The raven is a Lost Coast design rubber stamp, the others are clear stamps, sorry don't know which brand.  The background is Distress ink and Dylussions spray inks..

thrones

This A.J. page is for the Alpha Dictionary challenge at Craft Barn blog this time it's the letter T.

 Because Rick St. Dennis MFA had just send me an awesome image that was based on the Game of Thrones, you can find her here, I decided my word would be "Thrones" that way I could use this awesome new image to join this challenge.

I cut out the defenition of the word out of an old dictionary and put it on my page.

The word Thrones is also on there and there are several T's in the senti, so I guess this will do to enter, working in a real dictionary is to small for me sorry....

Background acrylic paint and gelli plate. I used my cricut to make stencils to for the gelli plate, worked great :-) .  The RSD digi is coloured using caran d'ache luminance 6901 colouring pencils

Miss Hagatha Crone

31 days of halloween day 2

Day 2 of the 31 days of Halloween.

I love October and Halloween and it was so awesome seeing all the great artwork the wicked bloggers made for day 1.

Today I have for you an Art Journal page, using a great digi image of Dilly Beans Digi stamps  , one of the wonderful sponsors of the 31 days of halloween.  I used digi  #165 dunce cap skellies.

most of the stamps in the background are from de Stempelwinkel, and the  Beware sign is a Smeared Ink digi and the awesome skellies are Dilly Beans stamps.

Smudgy Antics Challenge "masking"

Poe me challenge at Smudgy Antics

This weeks challenge at Smudgy Antics is Poe me, check out the rules and the prize here

I'm not a Poe fan, so I searched the internet and found the poem "the Raven" and decided to use that for my project. Again I made an art journal page

I printed the poem twice, once on white paper and once on designer paper, cut out the raven (Cricut) and put the 2 pages together so you still will be able to read the poem. Printed out the Smeared Ink "dead dancer" digi cut it out and coloured it using colour pencils. I inked the raven with distress ink and added the title. Hope you like it.

This time I picked one line out of the poem and made the page, the sweet little guy in the bird cage is a little creeper digi also from Smeared Ink

This weeks challenge at Smudgy Antics : Dear Heart

We have taken into consideration our digital artist fans and will be allowing all-digi projects. Feel free to think outside the box and have fun with your project! We are all about looking at things differently and look forward to the variety of projects and mediums we are sure to see.

*You must use AT LEAST 1 Smeared Ink image on your project. You are allowed to use anything else that you like.
*This rule has changed. To encourage more participants, any stamped image may be used, however only projects using at least one Smeared Ink image will be eligible to win a prize. Encourage your crafty friends to come play with us.



*You can only enter and qualify for a prize if you are, or become, a follower of the blog.

This weeks challenge is "Dear Heart"

And here is my entry,I made a page in my Art Journal, I used the bat wings of the Smeared Inks digi "a little bit batty". The heart is a Double Do die and it is embossed using Cuttle Bug embossing folder.

I made the background with a magic stamp, it's a foam block you heat with heatgun and then press into anything you want to make a stamp of. I used the heart embossing folder to make a stamp and used that as my background.

The fun thing s that you can re-use it, just heat again and the image disappears, heat and press in something else.

cool huh!

I was just playing with it and tried it out in my Art Journal, it is just a quick and easy page but it was fun to make it. That is the main thing, having fun so some and join this weeks challenge

art journal everyday maar dan niet iedere dag :-)

art journal 9 en 10

Ik vind het best moeilijk een collage maken, maar als je eenmaal bezig bent is het heel leuk om te doen. Vooral de onderste vind ik heel goed gelukt. Het meisje op de foto keek al heel boos, dus ik besloot haar nog wat enger te maken met vampiertandjes en vleesmuisvleugels.

Als de pagina af is plak ik er van dat zelfklevende plastic op waar je eigenlijk boeken mee kan kaften, zo zijn alle bladzijden beschermd en geeft het pastel niet meer af (dat zou je eigenlijk moeten fixeren maar dat heb ik niet in huis).

Ok, so art journal everyday doesn't work for me, at least not every day, LOL.'

I'm very busy at my job, and find it hard to make time for my art journal every day, so I decided to listen to my own advice and just see what happens.

So I'm slowing down and try to enjoy ;-)

I've been very busy this week, today I can finally post day 3 / 7 ;-).

I had a lot of fun playing with al kinds of paint and pastels (really like the intense colors of pastels).

Back ground is scrapbook paper, The picture of the boy on the paperplane is from a magazine called "Flow", the fish and "space invaders" are stamps.
