Creepmas day 4

Today only two hops the Rick St. Dennis MFA 13 days of Creepmas and the 13 days of Creepmas 2012, both blog rolls in the side bar.

All info about the rules and the  prizes you can win on Rick's other blog Airless Chambers

Here is my day 4 project using Rick St. Dennis Christmas light eater digi stamp
When I had coloured this guy I didn't know what to make with it right away, so I had put him a side and worked on some other creepmas projects till I finally got an idea.

I love how it turned out, hope you will like it too,  lots of pics here, enjoy
now you can't see really good in this pic, but there are christmas lights in this card, and they do work (at least they work untill this big guy will eat them) see next pic

What I did was fuzzy cut the digi, not so easy cause of the christmas lights and the wire that connects them. then I stamped on white card stock an Industrial looking stamp using white stazon.

Now the cool part, I used a make up sponge to wipe red distress ink (from inkpad) over the card, the white stazon resists the distress ink so you will see the white of the stamped image pop out of the red ink. Then I added some green ink here and there. Glued the digi on and decorated the card using the weathered clock TH die, the gear TH die and some holly leaves.

The Christmas lights are battery operated led lights.  i puched holes in the card and put the lights through the holes. Because all the technical parts (batteries and wire) are inside the card, I added some  wire on the outside of the card to to connect the little lightbulbs and make it look like the are connected to the digital christmas lights  the lighteater is eating.

And one more pic to share, my workspace after finishing this card, this might be shocking.

looks like a bomb exploded huh?, don't worry got it cleaned up allready, till the next explosion of creativity .........

see you tomorrow, Smeared Ink will be joining us again then, happy hopping

  5. Hoi Monique,
Groetjes, Caroline
