yay  made it , so here the final project


A Merry Creepmas to you all

 The image used is a Smeared Ink digi designed by Rick St.dennis, the background of the canvas is made using Deco Art Americana acrylics in Neutral grey and Naphtol red, first base coat using Americana Gesso. the Bricks are a stencil

 the digi i coloured using Prismacolor pencils, the senti was written using a black marker

that's all folks.......

Creepmas day 9

Welcome to day 9 of Creepmas, organized by Smeared Ink, you can find the blogroll in the sidebar

I made a creepmas card using the rubber stamps sets Dark Holidaze and Haunted Places 1, these are designed by Rick St, dennis and also available in digi here at Smeared Ink

  added some Deco Art Craft twinkles round the edge for a more festive look

 this scene was create by masking and combining stamps, see stamps used below

Next stop is Airless Chambers where you will find another stamped card I made with a little step by step about how to create a scene by masking

happy Halloween

I have a few projects to show you, starting with a lantern (everyone needs one this night)

I used a lantern I bought it had a text on it in white, I scraped it off using a knife and cleaned the glass using rubbing alcohol.

Then I spayed Deco Art Americana Acrylic Matte Sealer/finisher on the glass, let dry overnight.
Mask the parts you don't want paint on and use chalkboard paint to paint 2 bands leaving the middle part un painted. see pic.

Next use the rubber stamp from the Morte set ( designed by Rick St. dennis available at Smeared Ink) and archival jet black ink to sramp on the glass, careful not to smudge and let the ink dry before touching.  The Sealer makes the glass less slippery so it will be easier to stamp.

the spiders and skulls are made using a Deco Art Halloween stencil and Deco Art Glo in the dark dimensional writer

Next is an altered box

this started as a cardboard box .

The skull is a Rick St. dennis stamp from the Morte set by Smeared Ink, it was stamped in clay. when dry it was glues to the box cover. The rest of the lid was coverd using Deco Art Modeling paste.

when dry add American Acryloc gesso .

  next is a thin layer of Deco Art Texture Sand. The colour is a mix of Deco Art Media fluids Phtalo Turquoise, Phtalo Green Blue, Paynes grey and Quinacidone gold

last project is a tag using a rubber stamp designed by Rick St. Dennis, calld Skelly ton,  and available at I Brake for Stamps

the back ground is embossed and coloured using Deco Art Metallic lusttres.   Lavish Green for the branch die,The back ground :  Cosmic Blue , Elegant Emerald and Majestic purple

Yay almost there LOL

today is Friday, Smeared Ink day,

I made a tag using black cardstock gave it a metal look using a tim Holtz embossingfolder. Used Deco Arts Metallic lustres(black shimmer, sparkling silver and copper kettle) to give it the metal colour. the spider is a Smeared Ink digi, printed 3 times , cloured and fussy cut to make it 3 d, glued on a piece of card couvered with embossed metal tape. to give the metal tape an old look I used Deco Art Americana acrylic lamp black (let almost  dry and wipe away). The words are stamped using copper kettle Metallic Lustre. The ribbon has some copper kettle on it too

 

my second project is a card using a Rick St. Dennis rubber stamp from I brake for stamps, the background is coloured using distress ink and the background stamp is Lost coast designs. The image is coloured using pencils.

The spiderweb is a Martha Stewart punch and there is some purple glitter glue around the edges of the card

Smeared and Smudged bloghop

It's time for Smeared and Smudged monthly bloghop theme is DIRTY VINTAGE...Use vintage style images...and make it dirty by grunging it up, distressing it, or making it just plain DIRTY!

If my project is dirty enough I don't know, but I did a lot of gunging and distressing so at least I got that part covered LOL

here is my offering for the hop:

 

The digi images used: Nosferatu by Rick St. Dennis MFA (Nosferatu is available on Ricks's blog) and Open Bust by Smeared Ink. The spiderweb in the background is a rubber stamp by Lost Coast Designs and the blood splatter is a Stampinback rubber stamp. The senti is a Dracula quote.

I used dylussions for the blood and the green on the cardboard, I also used black paint and the images are coloured using distress ink. The spiderwebs are heat embossed using silver embossing powder and I added some skeletal remains  to enter HDH challenge 165.
To make it more vintage there is some black lace and a jute bow and some twine.

bloody valentine day 2 and mermaid card

This is day 2 for the bloody Valentine hop by Smeared Ink (blog roll at the end of this post), I made another tag using a Rick St. Dennis Zombie be mine digi, the brains in the back ground is a rubber stamp from de stempelwinkel.

now isn't he cute......

 

 

and I finished the mermaid card, using Sirena

 

it's a simple card, just added some pearls and layered the image. I added glitter to the mermaid's tail, but

 you can't see it very well, on the pic below it shows better.

Creepmas day 10

day 10 for Smeared and Smudged 12 days of Creepmas (blogroll in side bar), today just a simple project for you.

It's a candy cane which I dressed up for creepmas a bit.

new Smudgy Antics challenge, Creepmas and a goodbye

It's time for a new challenge at Smudgy Antics it's a Color Challenge see image below(use at least three) and because of Christmas this challenge will be for two weeks  for dec 17th & dec 24th., see the rules here

I used 4  colors in my card the only one I didn't use is the khaki, this will also be  my 12 days of Creepmas post for day 9 (blog roll in the side bar)

The digi I used is Smeared Inks Twice as Evil snowman which is a new digi made by our very talented lady Brayton.

This is my last DT project for Smeared Ink DT, so I am feeling a bit sad, but I have been thinking about this very well and I think it's best for me not to return for next term.

I had lots of fun in the DT and have learned a lot. Always loved working with Tori and Terra and the rest of the team. Thanks all for having me on the dt for the past 18 month and for everything you taught me.

I will be seeing some of you in other DT's and hope to keep on seeing the rest of you in blogland and on the Smeared and Smudged forum.

Creepmas day 8

For the 8th day of Smeared and Smudged 12 days of Creepmas I got a christmas ornament for you, I used Smeared Ink digi Gonna get you snowman, and attached him to a glitter snowflake.

Creepmas day 13 and day 7

 

this is the last day of Rick St. Dennis 13 days of  creepmas,  it was so much fun doing a project every day, and I made it all 13 days, Yay me.

As you know the blogrolls for all 3 hops are in the side bar, and today is also a Smeared Ink Creepmas day, day 7.

I got 3 thingies to show you, first a christmas card I will be able to send to my family without scaring them ;-)

 

I love these hat ladies and they are so fun to work with, this one is 1935 hat digi, but there are lots of different hat ladies in Rick's etsy. She is coloured using pencils and then fuzzy cut and glued on a Marianne Design die, I used gold cartstock for this. Added some pearls a bit of lace and some nice designer paper with glitters.

Day 6 for Smeared ink, I used one of Ikes  new digital images for this tag, hope you can see the glitter.

The digi used is a RSD image Creepmas girl.

The background is distress ink and the moon is also distress, I made "eyes " with a sponge and distress ink and drew the nose , tried to make little bats for the nose. The mouth is made of branches from the trees in front of the moon, the trees are stamps(stempelwinkel)  and  I  made the branches for the mouth using a black pen.

 

Sally was just coloured in the Sally colours, that was enough to make her Sally (and ofcourse the jack face in the moon helps a lot)

Sometimes you have a project in your head and it just won't come out the way you had thought of it, but this one did.  Doesn't happen a lot to me  LOL, so was very happy with the result.
