Smudgy antics challenge Evil Alice

This week's challenge theme is:
"EVIL ALICE".

It seems Alice is huge these days! Alice is everywhere! She has video games, challenge blogs, tag and ATC swaps and who knows what else...all devoted to her and Wonderland! That girl gets tons of attention! We expect to see lots of entries this week. Of course, being Smudgy Antics, we like things that are on the dark or edgy side of the art world. Smeared Ink has made their own collection of AIW and let me tell you, Alice is all grown-up now! You can find these jaw-dropping creations in the shop now. I provided the link for the entire set, but these can be purchased as singles as well. Trust me, you will want them all! They are Hot!
We at Smudgy Antics challenge you to make the most mind-blowing AIW piece you can. Make it evil, make it twisted, or make it seductive. All of that will work. Just stay away from the safe and cute stuff. Save that for the other challenge blogs and tap into your dark side. We dare you!

This is the card I made;
I coloured the digi using pencils and added some flowers and a quote from the book, see the Cheshire cat at the left top of the card, my daughter made that into a digi for me, how cool is that.

Hope you will come and play again , see details here

I will enter the following challenges:

POE-ETIC Bloghop

It's that time again! Time for the Smeared and Smudged member blog hop. (blogroll below this post)
The theme is POE-ETIC! Since we're celebrating the great Edgar Allan Poe this month,it would be awesome to create something using one of his poems! It can be a canvas, a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, an art journal page, etc. Use your imaginations. Also, don't forget the S&S rule that is has to be stamped somewhere (digi stamps are fine) – we love when you use Smeared Ink stamps, but it is NOT a requirement to participate.

This is what I made:

I printed the Quoth the Raven poem twice, 1 for the background and 1 to cut the letters out  (my Cricut did that for me LOL). I added the Smeared Ink  digi's from Quoth the Raven setto the letters and used 3D foam tape to place the letters on the background. I made sure that the text is still readable. Here is a pic fro a different angle so you can see it better. It does look much better in real life.

Hope you will visit all the other bloggers and leave them some nice comments, you can find the blogroll here:

Dragons Dream TIO cjhallenge # 123 art for Art's sake

This fortnight it's the awesome Frankie's turn to dream up a recipe at Dragons Dream TIO,an this is what she came up with : “Art for Art’s Sake” - handmade background, interesting character(s), quirky twist and ofcourse it has to be a tag and you have to use at least one real stamp.

This was a hard one for me, I just played and see what happened an this is what it turned oud to be.
I think it's very quirky, it has interesting characters and it sure is twisted. The background is made with paint. It is very shiney because the paints all had gold or silver in them.
hope you will join the chalenge again, can't wait to see what you all make of this recipe.

Poe quoth the raven: the gold bug

This is a painting I made for my son's room, he was a big pirate fan and wanted a pirate room, so I painted him a treasure map and a Jolly Roger. He loved it, but little boys grow up and the pirate stuff had to be removed from his room, and now I got the treasure map in my craftroom, because I didn't want to put it in the trash. And then there was the challenge on Poe quoth the Raven: the gold bug, I really wanted to play but didn't have much time to make a new project. So I guess I cheated a bit and took the treasure map painting(which I never shared before on my blog) and added a gold bug.
Here it is;

sorry for the bad pics, This is a 40 x 30 cm canvas and it was all drawn by me, I used a black fineliner for the drawing and colourd the tears around the edges with a black marker, then it was coloured (all kinds off browns) with paint. the only stamps are the red X  and the bug.

Welcome to Day 6 of SmudgeFest!!
SATURDAY'S SONG!
Make an ATC based on these song lyrics:

Blackbird - Beatles
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
The skull is a Smeared Ink digi, the other stamps are from de Stempelwinkel, the background is distress ink and the skull has glossy crackle on it.

Welcome to Day 3 of SmudgeFest!!
WORDY WEDNESDAY
USE ONLY WORDS TODAY(no images, just words).

This is not an easy challenge, I did have some trouble thinking what to make. Background stamps are allowed so I used those and I made some flowers out of an old dictionary (lot's of words there). Added a clay ornament and a skully and the finishing touch, the senti from Smeared Inks Nymphs Digi Set.  So I think I've met all requirements ;-)

I have some mail art pics to show you

Smudgefest day 2 and Haunted Design House

Welcome to Day 2 of SmudgeFest!!
The Challenge: TRASHY TUESDAY
Create a project by upcycling some of your trash! Be sure to pick something that is obviously trash (i.e. soda can, bottle tops, bread closure tabs, etc.).
check out the rules here
For trahsy tuesday's project I used empty bottles, a coffee creamer bottle, vinegar bottle and a small wine bottle. Most people would throw these empty bottles in the trass, but I save them to alter them.
this is the result:

The witch and the bat are Smeared Ink digis, the other labels are halloween clear stamps. To enter the Haunted Design House challenge # 145, I added some more bottles( the labels are printed images from internet), an old book and a skull. Then I changed the picture a bit in Photofiltre to get a bit of a spooky look.

this is the "before" pic:

I will also enter the folloowing challenges:
