Dragons Dream Tag it on Magical Mystery

This fortnight it's my turn to dream up a recipe for the Dragons Dream Tag it On challenge.
I came up with this: “Magical mystery"

Ingredients   - a little magic, some mystery and a little fairydust

and of course it has to be a tag and you have to use at least 1 real stamp.

Can't wait to what you all will make with this recipe.

Although this is my recipe, I didn't have a plan to start with, but when I combined the magic and the fairydust this tag sort of happened.

I had to take the pic this way otherwise you couldn't see the fairydust (or is it pixiedust ? because of Tink), I used stickles for that and I think it turned out nice.
The background is made using chalk, put hairspray over the chalk to keep it from comming off the tag and then stamped Tink, Mickey and the bacground is the Dutch definition of the word mystery, and ofcourse the magic is also a stamp.

Maybe this is not the kind of tag you'd expect me to make, but I love Disney and the recipe made me think of all the fun we had in our visits to the happiest place on earth enjoying all the magic , the mystery and the fairydust.

Hope you will join the challenge.

Smudgy Antics Challenge Time Stand Still

I know with the holidays fast approaching it feels like time is flying by at a dizzying pace. Everyone is rushing around getting shopping done, planning parties, and buying presents. Many will be celebrating their holiday of choice soon and before you know it we will be bringing in the New Year!

We at Smudgy Antics are asking you to slow it down a bit for this challenge. Not only will time be slowing down, it will be at a complete stop because this week's theme is "TIME STANDS STILL".

Here is my piece, I used Smeared Inks digi  "Hand of Time" and a TH die, the background is a clock clear stamp. The digi is coloured with pencils and the background is distress ink. The clock die was painted blue and then I added crackle.

hope to see you in the challenge at Smudgy Antics soon.

zombie Alice

When I saw the challenge at Poisoned Peas Pleas was the walking dead are here, I just had to play.

so I printed "my" Zombie Alice (it's Rick St. Dennis MFA digi you can find her here

and coloured her then fuzzy cut and made her a tag, the cheshire is a rubber stamp and the card symbols is also rubber. There is glimmermist on the tag but it doesn't show on the pic very well.

and a closer pic of Alice, if I was Cheshire, I'd run.....

I will enter this tag in the Altered Alice challenge "Gratitude".  Why a Zombie Alice entering in a gratitude challenge I hear you say.

Because I think it's a great way to say thank you to Rick who was so nice to dedicate this image to me, which was so very sweet of him to do. ;-)

Dragons Dream TIO challenge # 129

This fortnight it was the very talented Silvia's turn to dream up a challenge at Dragons Dream TIO , and she came up with this:
"Handle with care" - something fragile, and animal and a warning. There is got to be at least 1 real stamp involved and it has to be a TAG.

This one was not easy, had to think real hard what to do with this one, but finally came up with something, and I like how it turned out, let me know what you think

Hope to see all your wonderful tags in the challenge again,

Smudgy Antics challenge Twisted Sister

This weeks challenge at Smudgy Antics is Twisted Sister, you can find all the rules at the Smudgy Antics Challenge blog. Now get twisted and go create some nice projects to enter the challenge.

Here is mine

I used Creepers nurse Jenny and Deep in the Heart digi's, both are Smeared Inks, the brain is a Stempelwinkel stamp.
Maybe some explanation is needed, in Dutch a nurse would be called "verpleegster" but also "zuster" if you translate "zuster" to english that will be sister, and this one is definitely twisted.

Some more news for you, nov 15 th will be Smeared and Smudged bloghop time again, this time it will all be about altering things, you don't want to miss this.

And there will be Creepmas again (twice this year at: Smeared Ink and Rick St. Dennis ), how cool is that, see the buttons in the side bar, click them to get to all the info.

I will be joining both so lots of crafting to do, but it will be so much fun.

Some cards.......

Here some cards I made, I used Rick St. Dennis MFA digital stamps on all of them. You can find them here.

These images Rick made are  inspired by the work of Dutch artist Anton Pieck ,

I will enter this card in the following challenge:

I will enter this one in the following challenge:

And on the last card my fav of these four images, AP style Lady with twins
I wanted to give  this one an Efteling feel.

Visiting the Efteling feels like traveling back in time to me, that's why I wanted to give the card a vintage look, and make the image look like it was an old tile, with cracks in it.
I used some  darker colours to colour the image and then covered it with a thick layer clear embossing powder (you have to to that layer for layer use 2 or 3 layers for this).
When the embossing powder is melted and it is thick enough you put it in the freezer  for at least 5 minutes, the cold makes the embossing powder easy to crack. Don't worry you can't mess up this one, if you don't like the cracks you made just heat again an the cracks will melt away.
You may have to put the image in the freezer multiple times cause  when the embossing gets warm again it wil bend and don't crack. when you are happy with the result take an ink pad (I used distress ink walnut stain) and rub it over the image, wipe away with a cloth and make sure the ink gets in the cracks. Done.

I will enter this card in the following challenges:
