Some art journalling in bright colors

Hello all,


I have been playing in my small Art by Marlene journal, I really love how the paper is holding up to me mistreating it with paints and mediums.

Today I had a play with the beach house stamps designed by Marlene van Niekerk, they are happy little house, a bit wonky and quirky and that makes them so  much fun to use.


I combined them on one page with a Gorjuss stamp from Santoro, the 2 pages are not a spreas persé but sinds the colors match I decided to keep the house all lined up.

Dear Alice

Hi everyone, a very happy healthy New Year to you all!

My first blog  post for 2017, I am planning to do more blogposts and videos in 2017. So thought to start immediately :-)

I am a huge fan of Gojuss stamps and have a bit of a collection so it was about time I start to use them.

My original idea was to make a junk journal  that will have all Gorjuss stamps from my collection in it, but because of the busy Holidays time I just did a journal page.

I will not describe here what I did, because you can see that in a start to finish video below, but for your convenience I have a list of the product used here:

Christmas cards

This weekend I started on my Christmas Card, a little late, I know,,,........

 Deco Art products used:   Americana Acrylic paints in : Snow white, Lavender, Wisteria and Aqua Sky. Dazzling Metallics in Shimmering Silver. The girls stamp is by Gorjuss.

It has been a while since I made some cards and because I startd late I thought to do some quick one layer Chrismas Cards, using stamps, stencils and Intenense pencils.

First I stamped the image and made a mask  to cover it, next made the background and when paint was dry I removed the mask and coloured the image. Both card are made using the same concept, just a different image and a little different background, but same colours were used..

Dragons Dream TIO # 121 "Following Alice"

This fortnight it's May's turn to dream up a recipe for Dragons Dream TIO, she chose " following Alice" the ingredients are:
Alice, the rabbit and a situation the only other rules are: it has to be a tag and there has to be at least 1 real stamp on it. .
 I loved  making this recipe because I'm a big Alice fan and it gave me a chance to use this stamp I bought a while ago, it's Alice but a bit  different.......
Then I had to use a rabbit and create a situation............................................That's where my dark side took over. I think Alice wouldn't have gone into the rabbit hole if she knew wonderland was this scary.
I gave Alice a nice background and gave the tag a bit of a dark look using distress ink. The mean looking shrooms are Smeared Inks. And  look what they did to the poor rabbit...... only his watch and  skull (also Smeared Ink) are what's left of him................Wonder what the shrooms will do to poor little Alice.
