a lot to show you

First the new image from Rick St. Dennis. She is called Strega and I love this one so very much.

I had a great time colouring this one, but have to warn you a lot of people think she is very scary, that's what they've been telling me when I show her to them. So have a look but don't say I didn't warn you LOL.

The back ground is a rubberstamp (bubbles), which i embossed using holographic embossing powder, it is very glittery and sparkly in real life,

Stamps used are mostly Lost Coast Designs and Kico Stamps

and next are some pages I made for a mixed media circle journal group I am in

this cj's theme was use purple

this one was use only Tim Holtz stuff

and butterflies

and whishes to the world

I will enter the STREGA card in haunted design house challenge skeletal remains, (her earrings)

mothersday gift

Here's a mothersday gift idea, easy and fun to make. I used 2 bottles of bath salt, a piece of soap, a scented candle and a box (which was a box that used to have a baby photoframe in it, I got it from a friend. I 've got all my friends and family trained to ask me if I can use things first,  before they throw it in the bin LOL)

The box was mint green allready so just had to decorate it a bit.

I used mint green and pink patterned paper and a die cut to decorate the box and the bottles, the soap was put into an organza giftbag and had a tag attached to it.

The digi's used are all Rick St. Dennis gorgeous hat ladies, I love colouring these ladies, and for this project I used the colours of the soapies, the candle and the box.
So just used pink, purple, mintgreen, and ofcourse skin colour and some different colours for the hair. Colouring the hair is my fav part to colour on these ladies, specially the red hair, cause I think blond is more difficult to colour. The part I have the most trouble with is the make up of the ladies. (BTW you can find all the beautiful ladies I used on a special sale on the Sparkle and Glitter blog, so you'd better run and go and get it , cause it will be there for a limited time)

When they are all coloured, cut them out and glued them to the bottles, the candle, the tag and the box. Added some lace to the bottles and the tag. The box has also some roses and Pearls on it.

hell hath no fury

Remember Inferno, well here is his girl friend LOL

When Rick drew Inferno he made some more devils, and when I asked if there by any chance  also would be a she-devil in this series, I got this one. LOL.

I didn't have time to colour her then but today I finished colouring her and decided to make a card out of her.
The problem was i did not have matching background paper, which is a problem more often. So what I did was create my own.

It's not very hard to do, here is how .

Just take a piece of white card stock and a stamp that fits the theme you want to use.
In this case I thought skullies would look nice and that's why I used my rubber skull stamp and brown stazon ink. Stamp the skulls next to each other and let the impressions get of the paper on the edges. This will look much better than staying between the edges of the paper. See pic

Then use distress ink and an ink tool to colour the paper

Because I wanted the colours to be the same as I used to colour the digi,  I had to do some thinking of where what should be, cause the body and head of the she devil is
almost  the same colour as the Victorian Velvet distress and the wings are the same as the Walnut Stain (yes I changed Vintage Photo for walnut stain). Thats why i added more Walnut Stain behind where the body and head would be and some more Victorian
Velvet where the wings would be.

when I liked the result I glued the digi to the bg paper

I am not that good in fussy cutting and there will always be some white that shows after cutting, as you can see in pic above.
that's why I take a black colouring pencil and trace around the digi, colouring the white spots black and the black line around the image makes it pop more from the bg.
see pic below with black line around the image.

I think this is a very easy way to create any background paper you need.

Inferno's girl friend is called "Hell hath no fury" and she is not in the shop, but maybe closer to Halloween she might appear there

I will enter this in the following challenges

Smeared and Smudged bloghop

It's time for Smeared and Smudged monthly bloghop theme is DIRTY VINTAGE...Use vintage style images...and make it dirty by grunging it up, distressing it, or making it just plain DIRTY!

If my project is dirty enough I don't know, but I did a lot of gunging and distressing so at least I got that part covered LOL

here is my offering for the hop:

The digi images used: Nosferatu by Rick St. Dennis MFA (Nosferatu is available on Ricks's blog) and Open Bust by Smeared Ink. The spiderweb in the background is a rubber stamp by Lost Coast Designs and the blood splatter is a Stampinback rubber stamp. The senti is a Dracula quote.

I used dylussions for the blood and the green on the cardboard, I also used black paint and the images are coloured using distress ink. The spiderwebs are heat embossed using silver embossing powder and I added some skeletal remains  to enter HDH challenge 165.
To make it more vintage there is some black lace and a jute bow and some twine.

Hope you like the result and please go and visit the rest of the hoppers  and leave them some nice comments, see blogroll below

Poe shadow box

I made a shadow box, painted an old box using crackle medium (first layer red, than crackle medium, then black and the top layer of the crackle medium, then wait till the cracks appear)

the Raven digi is coloured with distress ink and cut out and glued on top of the box.

The inside of the box is covered with glitter foam and patterned paper and red paper with raven and barbed wire rubber stamps on it.

The Digi's used are The Raven and Edgar Allen Poe all by Rick St Dennis MFA, both coloured with distress, Poe in yellow and red and the raven in blue.

I added some goodies and flowers and that's it

I will enter this in the Smudgy Antics challenge "tic tac toe 3 in a row" I used flowers,  metal (the heart and the pen) ribbon (there are ribbon roses in there), but I aslo used paint and cardboard (behind the tombstones and Poe is a layer of cardboard)

I will also enter the following challenges

Smeared and Smudged Design Team Throwdown challenge 3

Challenge # 3 at Smeared and Smudged forum, rules are here
The theme was chosen by the winners of last challenge, Smeared Ink team, (big congrats to you, you did a great job).
We were to make a mini book:  Your project must be some sort of mini book. Whether it is a small accordion book , an ATC book, a domino book, a match book, a twinchie or inchie book, a tab book, etc... is up to you, but you must include at least 5 pages and your book must be smaller than 4". Use any techniques you'd like within your book.
Our team post is on Airless Chambers the other, darker,  Rick St. Dennis blog,
The team is again Miranda, Rick and me
I was planning on making an ATC book, but as always my project never comes out as it was planned. LOL,  I changed plan a million times along the way but this was what I ended up with (first plan was to go for an old vintage grunchy look, but that failed big time lol).
The book is 4 x 4 inches and inside are ATC's using Rick St. Dennis digi's Alien and Creature images (they are no longer available in Rick's etsy, sorry), I also used Smeared Ink's Grumpies and the sentiments that come with the Grumpies.

I made the book from scratch, used some designer papers that I didn't like and cut that to 8 x 4 inches, folded them in half and glued the patterned side of the paper to each other, that way i got a  4 x 4 inch blanc paged book .
The pages have backgrounds made of  Dylussions and Distress Stains (first time I played with both, and have to get used to the dylussions sprays a bit) and also used paint.
The background of the ATC's are mostly Lost Coast Designs stamps, and I framed the ATC's with some glitter glue.

The covers of the book are made of a cardboard box, I removed some of the top layer and painted them.
Here are all the pics (you might want to put on your sunglasses, cause here's a colour explosion coming)

Hope you like the book, also check out my teamies projects and don't forget to vote

The tag is yellow, red and orange stamp pads also applied with make up sponge.

Mothersday gift

Here a little easy to make gift idea, this one is for mothers day but I think it can be changed for any kind of gift, just change the digi.

The heart shaped box of chocolates had a sticker on it with the name of the chocolates, I removed that first. Pinted out the Rick St. Dennis MFA digi heart (which is available for only a limeted period of time on the Sparkle and Glitter Blog for
only 1.50 $), one big heart to put on the lid of the box and small ones to put on each chocolate.

Now you can cheat of course and colour the big heart first, then scan and print it smaller to put on the chocolates, but I chose to colour them all. Which was a bit hard cause they are so very small. Just sharpen your pencils very sharp and the colouring can be done (I don't have markers, but if you want to use markers, you might want to use the cheating methode cause maybe markers nibs are to big).
It's easy when finished colouring just cut the hearts out and glue the big heart on the lid and the small ones on the chocolate.

very simple but I like the result
