This weeks Smudgy Antics challenge is called Bad Baby, check out the rules here
For this project the DT were given one of the Smeared Inks Babies of the damned to work with. Now that was a bit of a challenge because when I think of babies I think cute......
When you look at the Babies of the Damned they look everything but cute ;-)
Now there is one other thing I think of when I think of babies (besides sleepless nights, changing diapers etc.) and that is Anne Geddes (you know the babies in a cute flower/bear/bee/bunny outfit put in a flower pot). If you don't know I added a pic for you below:
My daughter used to collect these Anne Geddes Dolls and she has quite a collection, so I thought I'd make here a very special one......
I have to warn you for the next pic, this is not going to be cute. in fact it may scare you. Don't say I didn't tell you.......
Now isn't he a sweet little devil? He seems quite happy in his little flower pot, especially when I gave him a skullie to play with.
When I bought this dolly it was a cute little baby boy. It's a cheap plastic doll and I didn't now if the paint would stick to the plastic. I put 2 layers of gesso on the doll and then painted him with acrilyc paint. It worked out great although it took some time to dry.
The bat wings are from Cricut Happy Haunting cartridge.
The flower pot was painted red and black using crackle medium. To finish I glued the Baby digi on the pot (colored it up first).
Because this project took some time to dry and I was not sure if it would work, I made a back up project. Just in case....
A cute little baby card, the digi is Demon Baby from Smeared Ink.
I had a lot of fun making these, and I hope you will all join the challenge
I will enter my babies in the following challenges:
