this weeks challenge at Smudgy Antics is Touch me (all about textures). Check out the rules and the prize here.
I made a Fat Book page, it's my first one and I loved making it. I used a piece of a cardboard box added a net (this one had oranges in it) put gesso on it and added some paint in different colours.
Then I added a piece of burlap and som wire, stapels and rope, put a little crackle paint here and there and added a digi Shell stamp from Smeared Ink et voila:
The next piece is for the junk Funk Challenge at Smeared Ink Forum, if you enter you will get a free digi just for entering and there are also prizes to be won, check it out here.
I made a card and for this callenge you need to use bottle caps, I used them as the center of the flowers (I like the bats so I did not alter the bottle caps)The digi stamp is from Dilly Beans , they have the most wonderfull digi stamps.
here is my card
The 3rd piece is a tag for the Dragons Dream tag it on challenge "the Thorn Birds".
I watched the tv series when I was a kid and loved it, also read the book. Here is my tag:

Smudgy Antics Challenge: Level up
This weeks challenge is all about layering for the rules check Smudgy Antics challenge blog..
I made an ATC and I used layers of metal tape and mesh in the background and I layered the spidey too. The spider is the Tarantula digi from Smeared Ink.. I printed Spidey 3 times, coloured him and cut him out. For the first layer I used the whole spider, the second the body and the legs on the front and the thirt layer just the legs. I used 3d Kit to glue him together and I think he looks almost real ;-)
Hope you will join us at the Smudgy Antics challenge, see you there
I will enter this ATC in the folowwing challenges:

Mixed media mash up bloghop
Welcome to the mixed media bloghop by Smeared Ink.
I love mixed media, it is so much fun to start with a blanc canvas and start adding stuff, but sometimes it doesn't come out like you intended it to be. And sometimes it turns out a lot better than you thought, but this was not the case today ;-). I'll explain what I had in mind before I show you the pics.
I wanted to create a underwater scene with a mermaid and fish and waterplants and a fishnet. I bought some great paint the other day, that's called magic paint and I wanted to play with that also,so I thought the hardest part was done....
I started to cover the canvas with gesso, I put on a lot and brayerd it on what gave me the stucture I wanted. Let the gesso dry and added my magic paint, I have the magic paint in blue and green and both have a bit of gold in it that gives it a great shine.
The paint dried just in the water colour I wanted, so far so good. then the problems started....
Because of the structure on the canvas I could not stamp directly on it, but there is always tissue paper and mod podg ;-) I stamped the fish and the waterplants on the tissue paper but my mermaid stamp was a digi, and I can not print on tissue paper, so I decided to print the meremaid on printer paper colour her up and cut out and stick to the canvas and then put the stamped tissue paper over the whole canvas using mod podge, and this is the result
I am happy about how the fish came out but the mermaid disappeared a bit, if I had used a real stamp instead of a digi it would have turned out the way I wanted. (a lesson learned ;-) )
Sorry for the bad pics but is so shiny that is was impossible to take a pic without the glare.
Please visit all the blogs to see the gorgeous work of all these talented people and leave them a nice comment.

Smudgy Antics challenge "Alter Something"
This weeks challenge at Smudgy Antics is about altering stuff, for the rulles check here.
I love altering stuff and I did another spoon for this challenge, first gonna show you some pics and thn tell you how I did it ;-)
First I made the skully, it is a digi from Smeared Ink, I printed it out 6 times, cut them out and used distress ink to age it. then I layerd the skulls using sillicone glue. On the top skull (I used the upper half only) I added Glossy crackle (love how that came out.
The spoon was bought at the thrift store, I paid 0,10 euro for it ;-). I picked out a vintage looking spoon, when I came home I cleaned it and put alcohol inks on it to age it. When the alcohol inks dried,I covered the whole spoon with glossy accents to protecd the alcohol ink. Put it aside to let it dry. Meanwhile I made a bow from black satin ribbon and attached some pearl beads to it. When the spoon dried completely I put the bow to the top of the handle and added a string of black pearl thread and a black silk rose. Glued another silk rose at the borrom of the handle and glued the skull in the spoon. That's it not to hard huh?
Can't wait to see what you will alter to join this weeks Smudgy Antics challenge.....
I also entered this challenge : http://beyondtheburtonesquedolls.blogspot.com/2012/03/alter-it.html?showComment=1332023419465#c8154485210621887867
and the Burried alive challenge at Qouth the Raven this poor guy was burried alive, tried to dig himself out with the spoon, but he failed.......

tim Holtz 12 tags of 2012 march
this is my version of the march tag, I don't have any of the stuff Tim used for the tag so I had to be a bit creative, see te result below
I used pieces of metal tape on the tag, I think it makes the tag look like real metal.
