I have some issues of Mixed Up Media Magazine and at first I thought a digital magazine would not be easy to read, but that is not the case at all. It is on my smart phone so I have the magzines with me everywhere I go. Great to have your own magazines to read in the dentist waiting room :-)
I love all the art work shown in the Magazine,
The cool thing is in each article you can click on a video or a slide show to have a closer look at the project. All info of the artist can be found by clicking the buttons for their Facebool, blog etc.
So the magazine only being available as ezine is actually really handy :-)
Lots of inspiration inside so a real must have
Digi used : the Reaper by Rick St.dennis Deco Art Products used: Deco Art Media Shimmer Misters inTurquoise and Violet, Deco Art Americana acrylic paint in Snow White and Lamp Black. Americana Decou Page Napkin For Rick St.dennis Craft Team we got an assignement , saying make a project that exemplifies you as a crafter,,,,''' I did not have to think about that very long (I did google exemplifies first lol) ,,, I just had to use my old frined the Reaper, I just love that image soooo much. It has everything I like in a digi. It;s scary , and still it makes you want to color him and get make him look like he is moving and his cloak is moving in the wind. Ofcourse Rick St.dennis did the most work to get that working in drawing all those great folds and add a bit of the shades in allready . The challenge was using my new Twinmarkers, they are a cheap brand alcohol marker and I only have a few colors so in the end I had to use some pencil too to get a better effect. So here it is my art journal page
First I used both misters to get the base color on the background, it has great shimmer but you can't see it on the scan, in the picture you can see the colors much better but the shimmer is hard to get in a photo. Next I used a stencil and black paint.
The imagae was cut out and glued to the background using Decou Page napkin, that is a product specially made for glueind thin paper and it works great, no wrinkles and it makes the image become one with the background, Also it has no horrible glue smell so that is a big plus :-)
Hi everyone, a very happy healthy New Year to you all!
My first blog post for 2017, I am planning to do more blogposts and videos in 2017. So thought to start immediately :-)
I am a huge fan of Gojuss stamps and have a bit of a collection so it was about time I start to use them.
My original idea was to make a junk journal that will have all Gorjuss stamps from my collection in it, but because of the busy Holidays time I just did a journal page.
I will not describe here what I did, because you can see that in a start to finish video below, but for your convenience I have a list of the product used here:
Deco Art Products used: Americana acrylics in: Purple wave, Snow white, Lamp Black. Deco Art Media Black Gesso and Deco Art Media Matte Medium
Gorjuss stamps: Dear Alice and I found my family in a book
Noor design clearstamp"wallpaper", alphabet stamps and a rubber stamp from Ready2stamp.
Derwent Inktense pencils (I also have the 72 set and some of the pencils I used for skincolor are not in the 24 set, I used : Willow, Saddle Brown and Baked Earth)
Hope you enjoyed the video and have subscribes to my channel :-)
