Andy Skinner Challenge

For the Andy Skinner challenge "Bold and Bright" I made this canvas board.

Deco Art products used: Americana Acrylics in Festive Green, Red Alert, Lamp Black, Snow White, Carousel Pink, Saffron Yellow. Modelling paste, Gesso, Americana multi surface acrylic in Lemon Zest, Glamour Dust Glitter paint in Turquoise Sparkle, Deco Art Media fluid acrylics in Ultramarine Blue. Andy Skinner Stencils: Hippy Chic, Serendepidy, Industrial elements, code breaker, Americana Mixed Media stencil: Dandelion and the Andy Skinner Indsrtrial rubber stamp set by Stampendous.

I started by Gessoing BOTH sides of the canvas board (they will bend if you only paint one side it's very annoying) next I used paintbrushes , sponges, and my fingers (yikes) to get all the colors on the canvas board, try not to create mud by drying the colors you don't want to mix first before changing to another color (the yellow and green will be ok to mix and the yellow and red too, but green an red is mud so be a bit careful when you slap the paint on, lol, I know it looks like the colors are put on their without thinking.....well,,,,,truth is I did think and this is attempt 2  number 1 is in the bin. LOL).

When base layer of paint is dry and looks the way you want it is time to do the stenciling, first all the Andy Skinner stencils,  and I used different colors to stencil them, depending on the background colour they were used on. Next I used some round shapes and  Americana Snow White and Lamp black to stamp the circles. Also used some mesh as mask. Stamped the crackle stamp from the Industrial stamp set randomly using Archival Jet black. When all the stamping and stencling was done,  I stenciled the word SOAR using lamp black Americana acrylic paint. (use a paint brush that is suited for stencilling, Deco Art has those).

Let Dry and while the paint is drying mix  modeling paste with some Media Fluid acrylic (I used Ultramarine Blue) and use that with the Dandelion stencil, I used a pallete knife to apply.  Let dry and use turquoise glitter paint to go over the dandelions to give them some sparkle.

I guess this is as bold and bright as I can get ( hubby asked me if was OK, when he saw I made this, told him it was Andy's fault, I don't think he understood lol). No worries guys I will get back to dark eventually :-)

I will enter this in the following challenges":
